In other news...

Just finished House MD….was alriiight, some of it made me cry with laughter, and some just cry. Like when Amber died. Tbh, I hated Amber..but those scenes were well done. My only complaint is that, to me, the characters seemed characterless.. particularly plain, and why cant they escape…pathetic.

Before starting House, I watched all of BSG pretty much back to back…wasn’t impressed that much. Baltar irritated me, and the fifth Final Five was boring. In fact, I would rather they have all died right at the beginning. lol

Words, Games and Comics

So, I kinda think I might have made a new “car game” kinda thing, yaknow, like you play on long journeys with your siblings. I also re-read an old post on xkcd’s blag about LimerickDB (and OH WOW) which I had previously been surprised at a lack of when one of my school associates mentioned that she was writing them. The last thing I did today was watch the end of Futurama, quite fun. Now I am just waiting for a git-repo of joe@saidar (my white eeePC) home folder to be pushed to my joest@whitefall account for storage so I can “star afresh” as I cant be bothered “uninstalling” a compiled version of xmonad. In fact I don’t know what I am going to do with that stuff…

Game

Right, to this hither-too unnamed game:

Rules are simple:

  • Start with a word.
  • Each player has to think of a word that starts with the last letter of the previous word.
  • (optional) Once a letter has been used, it cant be used again.
  • The first one unable to finish looses….

or..as I like Openness and sharing, take it and improve upon it, I played a game or two with my set’s of rules against myself, was fun. I lost though :(

All about Nothing

Well…. stargate is going well, heh, am now at s7x20 or somewhere around that point. The double parter called Heroes was the best in the whole series (so far). I was awesumficated by it (yeah it made me cry a bit). Dr Frasier was one of my favourite characters, along with chevron guy (Walter Harriman) and someone else. I kinda stayed off uni on monday to watch it, and might stay off tomorrow too :D. Going round to Arcath’s on sunday to get Atlantis.

TIME

Right, so…. I am watching Stargate SG1…

nothing wrong with that is there?

well I started last saturday (28th Feb, as I have said somewhere). Now I am 4 episodes into season 5. That is 92 episodes, or rougly 250000 seconds of it. Just under 3 full (24 hour) days. And that is discounting most weekdays 9-5 as I have uni. I am roughly 40+% the way through (or more accurately 43.2%)

Pretty bad aint it :D

In other news, I have nerly finished Memory, Sorrow and Thorn. Its getting good, the alies are attacking Asu’a with the three swords in the same area. everything seems to be going “swimmingly” HAH

A good TED video from Fluid@MIT on HCI in the real world, interesting stuff, standing ovation ;).
