Not been here for a while

Yeah, the internet has gotten seriously boring for me…kinda. Twitter has stopped being so awesome, and I have no real sites to visit. I still track changes on SC4D but thats really out of habit rather than enjoyment.

I started reading Saga of the 7 Suns again (after a restbite period over the holidays) and was amazed at what I had forgotten. SPOILERS:

• Reynald dies? :o I could remember the other brother dying but not Reynald :(
• The heroism of the old Adar was pretty awesome.
• loads of other stuff.

I read most of book 2 this week, and am now a good part way through book 3 :D

I also found git-php and “branched” it, taking the main file decompression bits from it, as I couldnt work out how to do it without the removal of the first two “characters” from the filecontents. I also think I might use a git-php thing to power ClassyCMS: Each document/page/thing is stored in xml file, but instead of having the hash the name of the file, just contain the whole thing in a —bare git repo. might work nicely :D

Words, Games and Comics

So, I kinda think I might have made a new “car game” kinda thing, yaknow, like you play on long journeys with your siblings. I also re-read an old post on xkcd’s blag about LimerickDB (and OH WOW) which I had previously been surprised at a lack of when one of my school associates mentioned that she was writing them. The last thing I did today was watch the end of Futurama, quite fun. Now I am just waiting for a git-repo of joe@saidar (my white eeePC) home folder to be pushed to my joest@whitefall account for storage so I can “star afresh” as I cant be bothered “uninstalling” a compiled version of xmonad. In fact I don’t know what I am going to do with that stuff…

Game

Right, to this hither-too unnamed game:

Rules are simple:

• Start with a word.
• Each player has to think of a word that starts with the last letter of the previous word.
• (optional) Once a letter has been used, it cant be used again.
• The first one unable to finish looses….

or..as I like Openness and sharing, take it and improve upon it, I played a game or two with my set’s of rules against myself, was fun. I lost though :(

Awesome stuff has happened….

Well I started messing arround with git and its great. I have actually learnt how to use it now, so much so that I pushed fbcms up to github
